About Me

Chris Murray is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). He holds graduate degrees in clinical mental health counseling and religious studies, as well as undergraduate degrees in history and philosophy. Chris graduated from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2021 after working in hospitals as a chaplain for over a decade. His time working in hospitals inspired his interest in supporting people towards mental health.

Chris views healing through a depth approach rooted in psychoanalysis. Chris approaches mental health with reverence and curiosity of the human condition. He supports healing within interpersonal relationships by shedding light on our unconscious thoughts and behaviors in order to discover the true self underneath.

Chris is influenced by Carl Jung and Jacques Lacan, both theorists who emphasize the development of the psyche through childhood milestones and attachments. To continue learning, Chris is a part of a fellowship program with Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis. He continues his own self-discovery in his own psychoanalysis.
